Accessibility statement
We want Peptide Atlas to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement sets out our target, what is in place, what has not been checked yet, and how to tell us about a problem.
Version 1.0 · Effective
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA — the middle of the three conformance levels (A, AA, and AAA) that the W3C standard defines. We have not yet confirmed full conformance; see the known limitations below.
What is in place
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
- One main heading per page, with a consistent heading structure below it.
- Navigation built from real links, so it works with a keyboard and links can be opened in a new tab.
- Labelled form fields, with error messages tied to the field they refer to.
- Layouts that adapt to narrow screens without sideways scrolling.
- Visible focus styles for keyboard users, and reduced animation when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Text alternatives for informative images.
Known limitations
- Peptide Atlas is a new site, first published in October 2026, and it has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe) of key page types run against the live site, but automated tools find only some accessibility problems, and our checks currently fail only on critical issues.
- Manual testing with screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack) and with voice control has not been completed yet.
- Studies, regulator documents, and supplier websites we link to are outside our control, and some of them — especially PDFs — may not be accessible.
We will update this statement as testing is completed.
Report a problem
If something on the site is hard or impossible to use, please tell us through the contact form and choose General. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, and any assistive technology you use. If the form does not work for you, the contact page also lists an email address when one is available.
We will work to fix the problem, or to give you the information in another way.
