Affiliate disclosure
We have no affiliate or other paid relationships today. This page explains what that means for the links you see, and how any future relationship would be disclosed.
Version 1.1 · Effective
No paid relationships today
Peptide Atlas does not currently earn money from any product or supplier. We have no affiliate programs, no sponsorships, and no paid placements, and no company has paid for coverage, a review, or a position on a page.
Where we link to a product, it is a plain Official site link to the manufacturer’s or seller’s own website. We are not paid when you use it, and we do not track whether you buy anything.
Supplier links on price pages
Our research price pages list offers from suppliers of research materials. Each offer has a View product details link to the supplier’s own product page, marked No commercial relationship while we have none with that supplier.
- These links pass through a short redirect on our site (an address starting with /go/o/). It lets us pause a single listing or a whole supplier at once, and withhold links in regions where they are not available. It does not add any tracking code to the supplier’s page.
- Clicks on these links are not recorded in our analytics.
- Offers are sorted by price, as described in How we check prices. Suppliers that pay us nothing are listed in exactly the same way.
- If we ever agree an affiliate arrangement with a supplier, its links will switch to the Paid link label described below, and the disclosure at the top of the page will change before the first link. The order will not change.
If that changes: how paid links would be labelled
If we join an affiliate program in the future:
- Each paid link will carry a visible Paid link label beside it.
- A plain-language disclosure will appear on the page before the first paid link — not only on this page.
- Pages without paid links will not carry a commission notice.
- This page will be updated, with a dated entry in its update log, before any paid relationship begins.
This follows the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance that a paid relationship should be disclosed clearly and close to the recommendation it applies to; the FTC says “paid link” right next to an affiliate link should be an adequate disclosure (FTC: Endorsement Guides — What People Are Asking).
What a commission cannot change
A paid relationship would not change:
- our findings, evidence ratings, or review criteria;
- which products we cover, or whether we include options that pay us nothing;
- how products are ordered or compared.
Commission rates would never be part of a rating or a comparison.
Sponsored placements are separate
A sponsored placement — where a company pays for space on the site — is different from an affiliate link. If we ever accept one, it will be labelled Sponsored or Advertisement and kept visually separate from our guides and reviews. Our advertising policy sets out the rules.
Links we pause
We check supplier links before sending readers on. If a supplier or product needs to be re-checked, or a link’s destination does not pass our checks, we pause the link and show a short explanation instead of sending you somewhere we have not verified.
