Three Collagen Powders: Formula, Cost, and Documentation

Three unflavored collagen powders compared on source, grams per serving, price per gram, certification and returns, from public labels and policies.

We have no commercial relationship with products on this page.

Compared from public labels and policies only, read on the brands' official US sites and NSF's public registries on Oct 18, 2026. We did not independently analyze product samples. Product order is not a ranking.

The short answer

All three unflavored powders list collagen peptides with no added vitamins or botanicals, but they differ in source (two bovine, one fish), in grams per serving (20, 20 and 12), in price per 10 g of collagen on the official US sites, and in documentation. Only one was listed in NSF's public registries when we checked; all three show a non-GMO testing mark. None of the product pages names a study of that exact product.

How we built this table

Each row answers one question from a public document: the Supplement Facts image and product page on each brand's official US site Source [1] Source [2] Source [3], NSF's public Certified for Sport registry Source [4], and each brand's returns page Source [5] Source [6] Source [7]. "Not provided" means the brand's page or label does not say; it is not a finding that something is missing from the product.

Price per serving divides the one-time price of the size shown by the servings stated on the label. Price per 10 g of collagen divides the price per serving by the grams of collagen per serving, then multiplies by 10. Both are rounded and will drift as prices change.

Reading the certification rows

NSF says its Certified for Sport program checks that contents match the label and screens for banned substances and unsafe levels of contaminants Source [8]. The IGEN "Non-GMO Tested" mark shown by all three brands concerns genetically modified material only Source [9]. Fish is a major food allergen, which is why the marine powder's label names Alaskan pollock in a "Contains" statement Source [10].

What the table does not show

We did not independently analyze product samples, and the table does not show whether any of these powders works. For the questions to ask about collagen research, see Collagen Peptides: Questions to Ask Before Comparing Products; for why we do not name a winner, see Comparing Collagen Products Without a Universal Winner.

Questions people ask

Why does one product show "not provided" for allergens?

Its label lists only bovine collagen peptides and carries no allergen statement. Bovine collagen is not one of the nine major food allergens, so no "Contains" statement is required for it; "not provided" means the label says nothing either way.

Does the NSF listing make one product better than the others?

It answers one question: whether an independent program lists the product as checked for label accuracy, banned substances and contaminants. That matters most to athletes subject to drug testing. It does not show that the product works better.

Why is there no winner?

The criteria pull in different directions. The lowest price per gram, the only NSF listing and the only non-bovine source belong to three different products. Our guide to comparing collagen products explains how to weigh them for your own situation.
